The Push

“Five minutes remaining!” is the shout of my coach as the workout hits the home stretch. The jump rope whistles overhead and I push to get one more full round in. Drop the rope, grab the kettlebell. Whip the kettlebell overhead, drop it, move on to the push-ups. Made it! Once more through the ladder with a final effort as the music blasts and the timer counts down. Back to the kettlebell as the coach calls, “Thirty seconds!” Reaching deep to finish the movement as I hear “Three, two, one – time!” Recover, score, clean up, on with the day.
