I Turned.

I lay in the darkness. I had no space to exploit either side of me and thus stayed still. A minute later, I ventured in my thoughts to wild places, making promises to myself I knew wouldn’t see the light of day and yet, in that moment, I believed in. Coming back to consciousness two minutes later, I wanted to turn to my side but knew that would cause difficulty in breathing, so decided against it. A minute passed and I started again, thinking of the otherworldly things I would do. Coming to consciousness after two more minutes, I turned.
