One Shower

"Hurry up in the shower!" I yell as my son's bathing quickly drains all the hot water from the tank. This was never a problem in the school years, when there was a natural order to things and school started early in the morning. Now, in the first summer break, having a single shower in the house is a curse when your college-age-not-quite-adult has a work schedule of his own, without any of the awareness that goes with it. We cope as best we can. But in a few short weeks the house will be empty again. Is that better?
